CrimeReports allows you to see crime statistics for neighborhoods. 
While on your home search, you can use this resource to get an idea of reported crime in the neighhood in which you are looking to purchase. This information can help you decide if you want to purchase in a particular neighborhood based on reported crime. 
How Much Would Repairs or Improvements Cost?

CostHelper provides articles on an array of topics on the potential cost for repairs or improvements.  If you found a home that you really liked, but it needed some work, you could use this resource to get an idea of the potential cost.You could then use that information to help determine your offer on the home.
